I am trying to be objective. Scientific even. I am making a list.
Reliable - Can’t have it breaking down in the boonies.
Comfortable - Some of the drives will be in the hundreds of miles.
Engaging - The car goes a long way to making a good road great.
Affordable - Certainly relative but I spent my disposable car dollars on the Ferrari.

Plus or minus leg room and your idea of comfort, I have to recommend an S2000 for your consideration. I daily drive one down in TX and have made a few 4hr road trips in it, and I think it's a joy.
